Why do people like making planned gifts?
Planned gifts (most commonly a donation made in your will or trust) cost nothing today and allow you to make an incredible impact, which is why so many people choose to make them.
I was inspired by the people who became Legacy Members before me. I want to leave my gift in memory of my parents – Howard & Rosalys Bauer.Janet Baur, Emeritus Executive Director at Four County Community Foundation

Four County Forever
A gift in your will creates a foundation for the future. Our work today is important, but it is equally, if not more important, to ensure Four County Community Foundation can continue well into the future.
We made this gift because of my gratitude to the community our family called ‘home’ for decades. We were educated, worked, served and worshiped alongside the residents of Imlay City. We’re grateful for all of the friendships and families that made our lives so rich and full. Living in a small community, you learn there’s a beginning and an end to things… and that we’re ultimately responsible for caring for it. This gift allows us to supplement our lasting legacy through further funding the Blonde Scholarship. In doing so, we continue to give thanks for all that’s been given to us and provide the resources for others to earn their college degree.
